THE FINALS supports cross-platform play, allowing players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S to team up and compete together.
By adding friends through your Embark ID, you can invite players from any supported platform to your party and enter matches together. This article explains how to add friends and start playing across platforms.
Select the Social button in the top-right corner of the Main Menu
Select Add Friend
Enter their Embark ID
Press Add Friend
The player you’ve added will receive a friend request. Once they accept, they’ll appear in your friend list.

To add fellow contestants after a match:
Select the Social button in the top-right corner of the Main Menu
Navigate to Recent. Here, you’ll find a list of players you recently played with
Select a player
Press Add Friend
To form a team with friends, you’ll need to invite them to your party before starting a round.
Playing in a party of 2 gives a 7.5% XP bonus, and a party of 3 or more gives a 10% XP bonus.
To add a friend to your party:
From the Social tab, press Add to Party
Select the friend you want to invite
The player will receive a party invite. Once accepted, they’ll join your party.
If your friend is online but you cannot see or invite them, it is usually caused by settings.
Try the following:
1. Make sure crossplay is enabled
Both players must have Crossplay turned ON in Settings → Gameplay → Network → Crossplay.
If one player has it disabled, you will not be able to see each other.
2. Add each other using Embark ID
Being friends on Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox does not always add the player in THE FINALS.
Open the Social tab and add your friend using their Embark ID.
3. Check blocked players
If either of you previously blocked the other, you will not appear in each other’s friends list.
Check Social → Blocked Players and unblock the player if needed.
4. Check platform privacy settings
Your platform account must allow:
Friend requests
Communication with other players
Cross-network play
5. Restart the game
Fully close and restart the game on both systems, then try inviting again.
If it still does not work, contact our support and include both players Embark IDs and platforms.
