In the chaos of the arena, collaboration and communication are the keys to victory!
The voice chat, text chat, ping wheel, and emotes help you stay aligned with your teammates, no matter how many airborne gas canisters are exploding around you.
Voice chat lets you talk to your teammates using a microphone, allowing for more flexibility when coordinating strategies, requesting support, or claiming bragging rights over that especially artful pile of rubble you built.
Voice chat is ON by default on both PC and console:
PC: Push to Talk is the default input
Console: Voice Activated is the default input
Our Code of Conduct applies to voice chat, so please be respectful and supportive of your teammates, whether in victory or defeat.

Text chat is your go-to for communication when you don’t have a microphone or prefer not to use one. While it might not be as quick as talking, it still lets you coordinate with your team, share your love of OSPUZE, or celebrate a well-fought battle.
You can disable text chat if you wish. To do this, go to:
Settings > Social > Text Chat Visibility
Remember to keep things positive and supportive, no matter the outcome of a match. The Code of Conduct applies here too.

If words can’t quite capture your feelings, the emote wheel lets you express yourself with a little extra flair.
You can assign up to 8 different emotes to each contestant’s emote wheel for use in the arena.
To equip an emote:
In the Contestant menu, navigate to the Expressions tab
From the Emotes menu, select your emote of choice
Press Equip to Wheel
Select your preferred slot, your new emote is now equipped!
The ping wheel helps you mark locations on the map to coordinate with teammates, whether it’s a destination, a building to destroy, an enemy to eliminate, or a cashout station to defend.
To ping your teammates:
Hover over the location or object you want to ping
Hold down the Ping button
Select your preferred ping from the wheel, then release
You can also respond to a teammate’s ping by bringing up your ping wheel while hovering over their ping icon.
