Dynamic Commentary

Last Updated: 2026-10-22

Dynamic Commentary brings a new level of excitement to THE FINALS by allowing Scotty to react to your gameplay and call you out by name during a match!

This feature uses real-time match events to create personalized commentary, making your biggest moments in the Arena feel even more special.

How does Dynamic Commentary work?

Dynamic Commentary allows Scotty to react to notable gameplay moments as they happen, mentioning the Contestants and teams involved.

Unlike traditional commentary, these lines are generated based on what's happening in your match and are seamlessly integrated with the existing commentary.

For example, you might hear Scotty call out a Contestant who:

  • Throws a Cashbox into a Cashout Station from across the Arena.

  • Goes on a revive streak to keep their team in the fight.

  • Pulls off other impressive or memorable plays.

The goal is to make your achievements feel like part of a live Game Show!

Can I disable Dynamic Commentary?

Yes! You can choose whether your Contestant name can be mentioned during Dynamic Commentary.

To change this setting:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Navigate to Social > Privacy.

  3. Find Dynamic Commentary Mentions.

  4. Toggle the setting On or Off.

When disabled, your Contestant name won't be mentioned in Dynamic Commentary.

Anonymous Mode

If you have Anonymous Mode enabled, your Contestant name won't be mentioned in Dynamic Commentary to anyone in the match.

Streamer Mode

If you have Streamer Mode enabled, you won't hear Dynamic Commentary lines that mention other players in your match.

How are inappropriate Contestant names handled?

To help keep Dynamic Commentary fun and welcoming for everyone, we've improved our moderation tools and policies.

These systems help identify and restrict inappropriate or offensive Contestant names, reducing the chances of them being mentioned during commentary.

We're continuously working to improve these tools to provide a safer experience for all Contestants.

Why don't I hear Dynamic Commentary in every match?

Dynamic Commentary is currently in Beta, meaning we're gradually introducing and improving the feature.

During the initial rollout, only certain gameplay events will trigger Dynamic Commentary. We're planning to expand the number of supported moments throughout the season, with the goal of featuring a handful of Dynamic Commentary moments per match.

As we continue testing and refining the system, you may notice changes to how frequently commentary occurs and which actions trigger it.

Will Dynamic Commentary continue to improve?

Yes! Dynamic Commentary is an evolving feature, and we're planning to expand and improve it over time.

We'll continue refining how Scotty reacts to gameplay events, introducing additional moments, and improving the overall experience based on testing and player feedback.
