  3. Choose Block Player

The player will be added to your Blocked list.

If you are in a match on PlayStation/Xbox:

  1. Press the [Start/Menu] button on your controller to open the menu

  2. Select Social

  3. Select the player you want to block

  4. Choose Block Player

The player will be added to your Blocked list.

If you are in the main menu (PC & PlayStation/Xbox):

  1. Select the Social icon in the top-right corner of the main menu

  2. Select Recent if you recently played with the player

  3. Select the player you want to block

  4. Choose Block Player

The block is applied immediately and is effective in all game modes of THE FINALS.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when you block someone?
After blocking a player:

  • They cannot send you friend requests

  • They cannot contact you through in-game social features

  • You will not receive notifications from them

Blocking helps prevent unwanted communication, but it does not report the player to our moderation system. If the player violated our Code of Conduct, please also submit a player report.

Can I still be matched with them?
Yes. Blocking does not affect matchmaking.
You may still encounter the player in matches, but they will not be able to contact you through any in-game social features.

How do I unblock a player?

  • Go to the Social tab

  • Click Blocked

  • Select the player from the list

  • Choose Unblock

When should I also report the player?
You should submit a report if the player is:

  • Harassing or threatening you or others

  • Using hateful or offensive language

  • Intentionally sabotaging matches (griefing)

  • Cheating or exploiting

Blocking only stops communication. Reporting the player also helps us take action and keep the arena a fun and safe place for everyone.

Will the player still be able to contact me through platform social features?
Yes. Blocking a player in THE FINALS only affects the game’s in-game social features. The player may still contact you through your platform’s social systems (such as friend requests, messages, or party invites).

To fully prevent contact, you will also need to block the player on your platform account.
Here is how to do it on your platfrom:

Blocking the player on both the platform and in-game will prevent further communication in most situations.

Unable to block a player?

If you are unable to use the in-game block feature, or if a player continues to harass you despite being blocked, you can contact our support and we will assist you further.

Please include:

  • The player’s in-game name

  • The approximate date and time of the incident

  • A description of what happened

  • Any screenshots or video clips you have

Providing as much information as possible helps our team investigate the situation more quickly.
