Whether you want fast-paced action, tactical teamplay, or high-stakes tournament drama, THE FINALS has a game mode for you. From the chaos of Quick Cash to the intense pressure of Ranked Tournament, here’s a breakdown of what each mode offers, and how to master it.

Quick Cash

A single-round match with 3 teams of 3 competing to reach the cashout goal.

Rules:

  • Head for the vault and grab the cashbox

  • Insert the box into a cashout station

  • Defend the station from opponents

  • First team to reach 20,000 cash wins

  • Unlimited respawn credits

  • You can switch your contestant pack and access your reserve between respawns

Power Shift

A casual 5v5 game mode where two teams compete to escort a platform through the arena.

Rules:

  • First team to bring the platform to its destination or the team that pushes it furthest wins

  • The platform moves faster with 2–3 teammates on it

  • Overtime is triggered when the trailing team controls the platform but isn't in the lead

  • You can switch your contestant pack and access your reserve between respawns

Team Deathmatch

A single-round match with 2 teams of 5 competing to eliminate opponents and collect cash.

Rules:

  • The team with the most cash wins

  • Unlimited respawn credits

  • You can switch your contestant pack and access your reserve between respawns

Terminal Attack

A tactical 5v5 attack-and-defend mode. The first team to win 5 rounds (best of 9) takes the match.

Rules:

  • Attackers: Deliver the decryption key to a terminal and defend it during decryption

  • Defenders: Prevent the attackers from inserting the key or interrupt the decryption

  • Teams switch sides after 4 rounds

  • No revives; one life per round

  • Gadgets and charges replenish only between rounds

  • Contestants can heal only limited health during rounds, based on their build

  • Healing Beam and Defibrillator are unavailable

World Tour

A casual tournament mode with teams competing in a knockout bracket. In World Tour, contestants are sponsored by different companies.

Rules:

  • Earn cash by eliminating opponents, opening vaults, depositing cashboxes, and stealing cashouts

  • In knockout rounds, teams must finish in the top 2 to advance

  • Final round: 2 teams face off in a single-round match

  • The reserve is accessible between rounds and upon elimination

  • Limited respawn credits; cash is lost on team wipes

  • Overtime is triggered if a cashout is in progress when time expires

Limited-Time Events

Special game modes available only for a short time each season. Limited-Time Events offer unique and often chaotic spins on THE FINALS gameplay.

Some fan-favorites include:

  • HEAVY HITTERS (Season 6)

  • BLAST OFF (Season 7)

  • SNOWBALL BLITZ (Season 5)

Ranked Tournament

A competitive tournament mode where players climb the ranks to reach the final round.

General Rules:

  • No in-round swapping from the reserve

  • Overtime is triggered if a cashout is in progress

  • Limited respawn credits

Knockout Rounds:

  • Earn cash by eliminating contestants, opening vaults, depositing cashboxes, and stealing cashouts

  • You lose cash on team wipe

Final Round:

  • Earn cash by successful cashouts

  • First team to reach 20,000 wins

  • No cash is lost on team wipe

Seeding:

  • Teams are seeded based on their combined Ranked Score

  • Seeding ensures strong teams are distributed evenly across the bracket

Ranked League Progression

Climb the Ranked Leagues by completing placement tournaments and competing against similarly ranked teams.

Progression Overview:

  • Play placement tournaments to earn your initial rank

  • Earn Rank Score (RS) by winning ranked matches

  • Climb through tiers and sub-tiers to earn seasonal rewards

  • Face off against teams with similar RS

  • Each season brings unique ranked rewards based on your highest rank
