To play THE FINALS, you’ll need an Embark ID. This is your unique account that connects your progress, purchases, and friends across platforms.

What’s an Embark ID and Why Do I Need One?

Your Embark ID:

• Saves your progress, contestants, and cosmetics

• Enables cross-progression between Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S

• Allows cross-platform play with friends on any supported system

• Helps friends find and add you

• Is required for support requests and account troubleshooting
  
  

How to Create an Embark ID

You’ll be prompted to create your Embark ID the first time you launch THE FINALS.
Already have one? You’ll also be given the option to link your existing Embark ID.

Choose your Display Name for Embark ID

You can choose any display name for your Embark ID as long as it follows our Code of Conduct.
Your display name must also meet the following requirements:

• Must start with a letter or number.
• Limited to a maximum of 4 numbers in a row.
• No special characters permitted.
• Accepted symbols: hyphen (-), underscore (_), and period (.). Limited to a maximum of 1 symbol in a row.
• Must contain between 2-16 characters.
  
  

How to Find Your Embark ID

In-Game:

1. Launch THE FINALS

2. Click the Social button in the top-right corner of the Main Menu

3. Your Embark ID will be displayed in the top-left, in this format:
   DisplayName#1234

On the Embark Platform:

1. Visit the Embark Platform

2. Click “Account” in the top-right

3. Log in with the platform your Embark ID is linked to

4. Click your account name in the top-right

5. Click “Profile”

6. Your Embark ID will appear under Display Name, in the formatDisplayName#1234

Linking & Managing Connected Platforms

Your Embark ID can be linked to one account per platform (Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, Epic Games, Discord and Twitch).

How to View Linked Platforms:

1. Go to the Embark Platform

2. Log in with your linked platform

3. Click your account name → Connected Platforms

4. Here you can see all platforms currently connected to your Embark ID

Linking or Unlinking a Platform:

On the Connected Platforms screen, you can choose to Link or Unlink each platform.

Important: You cannot unlink the account you're currently logged in with. To unlink it, log in through a different platform first.

What Happens If I Unlink Everything?

Unlinking all third-party game accounts will permanently delete your Embark ID.

You will lose:

• All Multibucks

• Purchased and earned cosmetics

• Battle Pass progress

• Account progression

This action cannot be undone.
