If you receive a "Matchmaking cancelled by(Displayname)" message while trying to queue for a match in THE FINALS, it’s likely due to your party not meeting the rank-based matchmaking requirements.
(This message will also appear if the member of your party the initiated the que, quits or disconnects from THE FINALS.)
To maintain competitive integrity and prevent account boosting, ranked matchmaking currently limits which ranks can party up together.
Specifically:
Players ranked Diamond or Ruby cannot queue in a ranked party with players who are Silver or below.
If your party includes players across these restricted rank ranges, ranked matchmaking will be automatically cancelled.
When this happens, a message may appear saying that matchmaking was cancelled by the lowest-ranked party member, this is just how the system notifies you of the rank incompatibility.
To successfully join a ranked match as a party:
Ensure that all party members are in a similar rank bracket (e.g. Gold, Platinum, Diamond).
If there’s a significant difference between ranks, consider playing unranked modes together instead.
