Troubleshooting Launch or Loading Issues – Console

If THE FINALS does not start, gets stuck on the loading screen, or remains on “Connecting…”, the issue is usually related to the console system or connection to platform services.

If you encounter this issue please follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

1. Fully restart your console

Launch or loading issues often occur when a game is launched after the console wakes from rest/sleep mode.

  1. Close THE FINALS

  2. Turn off the console completely (do not use Rest/Sleep Mode)

  3. Unplug the console power cable

  4. Wait at least 60 seconds

  5. Plug the console back in

  6. Start the console and launch THE FINALS

 

2. Check platform service status

If PlayStation Network or Xbox Network services are unavailable, THE FINALS may remain on “Connecting..”

First make sure your console’s online service is online and working normally.

PlayStation
Check the PlayStation Network service status from your console or the PlayStation website

Xbox
Check the Xbox Network status from your console or the Xbox website

If the status of the console’s online service is offline, you will need to wait until platform services return to online before launching THE FINALS again.

 

3. Check your internet connection

A weak or interrupted connection can prevent THE FINALS from loading.

Try the following:

  • Restart your router
    Avoid Wi-Fi if possible and use a wired connection

  • Pause any downloads or streaming on your network

After restarting your network, launch THE FINALS again.

 

4. Check for game updates

An incomplete or paused update can prevent THE FINALS from launching correctly.

Highlight THE FINALS on your console dashboard and select Check for update.

Install any available updates before starting THE FINALS.

5. Clear temporary system data

Temporary console data can sometimes prevent games from loading correctly.
A full power cycle (Step 1) clears this data in most cases.

If the issue continues, restart the console once more and launch THE FINALS before opening any other apps.

 

6. Reinstall THE FINALS

If THE FINALS still will not launch or load:

  1. Uninstall THE FINALS from your console

  2. Restart the console

  3. Reinstall THE FINALS from your game library

  4. Launch THE FINALS after installation finishes
