It's completely understandable that running into Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) errors can be frustrating when you just want to jump into the game! We want to help you get back into the action as quickly as possible.
A lot of EAC issues pop up because of conflicts with other anti-cheat services or programs you might have running. Since EAC is a third-party tool that many games use, these conflicts are unfortunately not something Embark has direct control over.
If you're having trouble launching the game because of an EAC problem, here are a few simple steps that often clear things up.
The first thing to try is running the uninstaller/installer manually. For ARC Raiders it can be found in {SteamLibrary}\steamapps\common\Arc Raiders\Installers. There are two batch files that can be run as Administrator by right clicking the uninstaller or installer batch file, and selecting "Run as administrator".
If these did not help, please try some of the following:
Close other programs. Before you launch the game, please make sure you close all other games and anti-cheat programs that might be running in the background. The easiest way to do this is often through your Task Manager (Ctrl +Shift + Esc).
Restart your PC. If you were just playing another game, a PC restart can help clear out any lingering anti-cheat processes that might be interfering.
Check for unauthorized programs. Please double-check that you don't have any scripts, macros, or unauthorized third-party programs running that violate our terms of service.
