If THE FINALS closes unexpectedly, freezes, or returns you to the console dashboard, the issue is usually related to the console system state or local data.
To solve this issue, please follow the steps below in order.
Game crashes could be caused by the console running from rest/sleep mode for extended periods. A normal restart is often not enough to solve the issue.
Fully close THE FINALS
Turn off the console completely (do not use rest/sleep mode)
Unplug the power cable from the console
Wait at least 60 seconds
Plug the console back in
Start the console and launch THE FINALS
Outdated system software can cause instability after game updates.
PlayStation
Settings → System → System Software → Update
Xbox
Settings → System → Updates
Install any available updates and restart the console before launching THE FINALS.
An incomplete or paused update can cause games to crash. Highlight THE FINALS on your dashboard and select Check for update.
Low storage space on your console can prevent games from loading assets correctly.Make sure your console has sufficient free space available.
If storage is nearly full, free space (Xbox and Playstation recommend that you have at least 1GB of free space at all times) and restart the console before launching THE FINALS again.
Launching THE FINALS directly after the console wakes from rest/sleep mode may cause:
Freezing
Crashes during matchmaking
Crashes when loading into a match
If you frequently use rest mode, try fully restarting the console before playing.
If crashes continue:
Uninstall THE FINALS
Restart the console
Reinstall THE FINALS from your game library
Launch THE FINALS after installation completes
