If you’re having trouble with voice chat in ARC Raiders, here are a few things you can check to get it working again.

Allow ARC Raiders to Access Your Microphone (Windows)

Windows includes a privacy feature that lets you decide which apps can access your microphone. If voice chat isn’t working, make sure ARC Raiders has permission:

1. Press Windows + I to open Windows Settings.
   

2. Select the Privacy & Security tab, then go to Microphone.
   

3. Enable Let Desktop Apps to Access Your Microphone and confirm ARC Raiders is listed.
   

4. Restart the game and check if voice chat works.

Update Your Audio Drivers

Outdated or faulty audio drivers can cause issues with voice chat.

1. Open the Start Menu and search for Device Manager.
   

2. Expand Audio Inputs and Outputs.
   

3. Right-click your audio device and select Update Driver.
   

4. Do the same for your microphone.
   

5. Restart your system and relaunch ARC Raiders.
   

Check Your Microphone in ARC Raiders

If you have multiple audio devices (like a headset and a webcam mic), ARC Raiders may be using the wrong one. To fix this, manually select the correct device:

1. Go to Settings > Audio in ARC Raiders.
   

2. Under Voice Chat Input Device, select your preferred microphone.

This helps prevent cases where the game picks up the wrong mic and causes poor audio quality.

Switch Between Push-to-Talk and Open Mic

ARC Raiders supports both Push-to-Talk and Open Mic. If one isn’t working, try switching to the other:

• Go to Settings > Audio > Party Voice Chat or Proximity Voice Chat

• Change between Push-to-Talk and Open Microphone.
  

Close Other Applications

Sometimes other programs (like Discord or video apps) can “lock” your microphone and prevent ARC Raiders from using it.

1. Press Windows + X and select Task Manager.
   

2. Go to the Processes tab.
   

3. Close any apps you don’t need that may be using your mic.
   

Once done, relaunch ARC Raiders and try voice chat again.
