Game Stops Loading After EAC Splash Screen

Last Updated: 2025-07-17

If THE FINALS stops loading and closes after the Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) splash screen without showing an error,  there may be a system-level issue preventing the game from starting. This is often due to pending Windows or driver updates.

Step 1: Check for Windows Updates

Make sure your system is fully up to date, including both required and optional updates.

To check for updates:

  1. Open Settings on your PC

  2. In the left-hand panel, select Windows Update

  3. Click Check for updates

    • If any required updates appear, install them

    • If your system is up to date, proceed to optional updates

  4. Scroll down and click Advanced Options

  5. Under Additional Options, select Optional Updates

  6. Look for Driver Updates, then download and install all pending updates

Note: Preview updates are not required and usually don’t impact game loading.

Step 2: Still not working? Send us logs

If the issue persists after updating your system and drivers, we’ll need a few logs to help diagnose the issue.

✅ EAC Logs

You can find instructions on how to collect your EAC logs on the official Easy Anti-Cheat support page:

✅ Crash Logs

You can find THE FINALS crash logs here:

  • Look for the folder that was most recently modified

  • If no crash logs are present, please mention this in your support ticket

Note: You may need to enable visibility of hidden files and folders in File Explorer.
Open any folder, go to Options > View, and check Show hidden files, folders, and drives
