How to Clear or Reset Your Device Cache

Clearing your device's cache can help resolve issues with connectivity, the game launching, graphical errors and other unexpected errors. Follow the steps below for your platform.

PC - Epic Games Launcher

  1. In the lower right corner of your taskbar, click the arrow pointing up.

  2. Right-click the Epic Games icon and select Exit.

  3. Press Windows + R to open a Run window.

  4. Type %localappdata% and press Enter to open File Explorer.

  5. Open the EpicGamesLauncher folder, then open the Saved folder.

  6. Delete the following folders if they appear:

    • webcache

    • webcache_4147

    • webcache_4430

  7. Relaunch the Epic Games Launcher and then ARC Raiders.

PC - Steam

  1. From your Steam Client, select Steam > Settings from the top left menu.

  2. In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab.

  3. Select Clear Download Cache at the bottom of the page.

  4. Select Confirm to proceed.

Note: This process will not affect your currently installed games, but you will need to log back into Steam afterwards.

PlayStation 5

Clearing the cache on PS5 is done through Safe Mode.

  1. Press and hold the PS button on your controller and select Turn Off PS5.

  2. Wait until the power indicator light shuts off completely.

  3. Press and hold the power button on your PS5 until you hear a second beep (approximately 7 seconds).

  4. Connect your controller using a USB cable, then press the PS button.

  5. Select Clear Cache and Rebuild Database, then select Clear System Software Cache.

  6. Select OK.

Your PS5 will restart automatically once the cache is cleared.

Xbox

  1. Turn off your Xbox Series X|S using the controller or the power button on the console.

  2. Unplug the power cable from the back of your Xbox Series X|S.

  3. Wait at least two minutes.

  4. Plug the cable back in and turn your Xbox Series X|S back on.
