Community Tournament Guidelines

Last Updated: 2025-07-18

We love seeing the community come together to compete, celebrate creativity, and share a passion for THE FINALS. You're welcome to host your own tournaments, as long as you follow the rules below. These guidelines are designed to keep the experience fun, fair, and respectful for all participants.

What Counts as a Community Tournament?

Community tournaments are small-scale events organized by players, not affiliated with Embark. They can be:

  • Online tournaments: up to 300 participants

  • In-person tournaments: up to 200 participants

You may charge reasonable entry fees (maximum $20 USD per person), provided you're of legal age in your region.

Prize Pool Limits

We want the focus to be on fun and community, so please keep prize pools small:

  • Max per tournament: $5,000 USD in value

  • Max total per calendar year: $10,000 USD

Use of THE FINALS & Embark IP

Embark retains full ownership of THE FINALS, including its name, branding, and in-game content. Here's what you're allowed (and not allowed) to do:

You can:

  • Stream your tournament on free platforms (Twitch, YouTube, etc.)

  • Use the game title and logo to indicate which game is being played

You cannot:

  • Use Embark trademarks or character names in your tournament title

  • Monetize via pay-per-view or subscription broadcasts

  • Use our IP to promote sponsors, events, or products

  • Sell any merchandise (including digital)

All promotional materials must clearly state:
“Not sponsored by or affiliated with Embark Studios AB.”

Note: Some in-game content is licensed from third parties and may not be cleared for use in your event.

Sponsors & Partners

Your event sponsors and partners must not be associated with:

  • Illegal products or services

  • Pornography, dating apps, or explicit content

  • Alcohol, tobacco, or firearms

  • Gambling or lottery services

  • Political ads or agendas

  • Content that violates the game’s ESRB/PEGI rating

All involved must follow our Terms of Service, EULA, and Privacy Policy.

Tournament Rules

We recommend publishing your tournament rules at least one month before the event.

You're responsible for ensuring:

  • All rules comply with local laws and these guidelines

  • Players, sponsors, and partners adhere to our standards

Embark may review or revoke use of THE FINALS for your event at any time if these guidelines aren't followed.

Future Updates

These guidelines may change as we refine how we support community-led events. Stay tuned!
