If you are missing all audio, sound effects, music, or other in-game audio in THE FINALS, the issue is usually related to console audio output settings.
Follow the steps below in order.
After each step, relaunch the game and check if audio has returned.
Temporary audio issues can often be solved by just restarting THE FINALS and your console.
Fully close THE FINALS
Turn off your console (do not use rest/sleep mode)
Wait 30 seconds
Turn the console back on
Launch the game again
Launch THE FINALS
Open Settings
Select Audio
Make sure:
Master Volume is above 0
Music and Sound Effects are enabled
Output device has not been changed unintentionally
If needed, restore the audio settings to default and test again.
Incorrect output settings can send audio to a device you are not using.
PlayStation
Open Settings → Sound → Audio Output
Confirm the correct output device is selected (TV speakers, headset, or AV receiver)
Try switching the output device and switching back
Xbox
Open Settings → General → Volume & audio output
Confirm the correct output device and format is selected
Try switching the output device and switching back
Ensure the headset or speakers are properly connected
Test audio in another game or app
Adjust the volume on your device’s volume controls
Try unplugging and reconnecting the device
If audio does not work in other games, the issue is likely hardware related.
Some audio formats may not be supported by all devices.
If you are using:
Dolby Atmos
Windows Sonic
DTS
Try switching your console audio to Stereo and relaunch the game.
An outdated system software or game version can cause audio problems.
Make sure:
Your console system software is fully updated
Make sure THE FINALS is updated to the latest version
If audio works in other games but not in THE FINALS, please contact our support and include:
