Shared License Restrictions

Last Updated: 2026-10-01

To help keep ARC Raiders fair for everyone, we apply limitations to shared game licenses on Steam and Xbox. These rules are in place to prevent abuse of shared licenses and to ensure all Raiders play by the same standards, whether they own the game or access it through sharing.

When ARC Raiders license is shared, all accounts using that shared license are linked for enforcement purposes. Restrictions apply across the entire family group tied to that license.

License sharing restrictions work the same on both Steam and Xbox

How Restrictions Work

  • The banned player's Embark ID is restricted and can no longer be used to play.

  • The shared license is restricted on the platform it was shared on, for example, Steam. No one sharing that license can play ARC Raiders on that platform, even if they already own the game there or buy their own copy later.

  • Other players' Embark IDs are not restricted, but they can only play on other platforms where they own the game or share an unrestricted license
