If you're having trouble connecting or experiencing network-related issues while playing ARC Raiders, there are several steps you can try to get back into the action.
You can also make sure you’re matchmaking in the correct region.
On PC:
Click the gear icon at the bottom right of the screen.
Go to Gameplay > Server
On Console:
Open the Social menu.
Navigate to the gear icon on the left side of the screen.
Select Gameplay > Server
Make sure your PC meets the minimum system requirements.
Use a stable and fast internet connection whenever possible.
A wired (Ethernet) connection is recommended over Wi-Fi.
Unstable connections can lead to frustrating issues, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you resolve them.
Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on and you're connected to the correct network (SSID).
Double-check the password is correct.
Try switching to a wired connection for better stability.
Avoid using VPNs or proxy services, unless absolutely necessary, as they can interfere with gameplay.
Make sure your Windows OS is up to date:
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update
Click Check for Updates
Windows includes a built-in troubleshooter to detect and fix network issues:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status
Click Advanced network settings
Select Network troubleshooter
Choose your network connection and follow the on-screen instructions
Windows will scan for issues and either fix them automatically or provide guidance.
Switching to a public DNS can help improve network stability and resolve issues that may prevent voice chat from working correctly.
Open Settings from the Start menu.
Go to Network & Internet.
Select the adapter you wish to configure (e.g., Ethernet or Wi-Fi).
Find DNS server assignment and select Edit.
Change the dropdown menu from Automatic (DHCP) to Manual.
Turn on the IPv4 / IPv6 toggle.
Note: We suggest not using IPv6
| Google DNS | Cloudflare DNS |
IPv4 | Primary DNS: Secondary DNS: | Primary DNS: Secondary DNS: |
IPv6 | Primary DNS: Secondary DNS: | Primary DNS: Secondary DNS: |
Resetting your IP address may resolve connectivity issues:
Close all browsers and applications
Press the Windows key, typeCMD, and hit Enter
In the Command Prompt, type:
ipconfig /release and press Enter
ipconfig /renew and press Enter
ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter
Restart your PC
Windows update sharing can slow down your connection. Here’s how to turn it off:
Open the Start menu and go to Settings
Select Update & Security
In the left-hand menu, click Windows Update
Click Advanced Options
Select Delivery Optimization
Toggle "Allow downloads from other PCs" to Off
This ensures that your bandwidth isn’t being used for background Windows updates during play.
